HTC Got The Sensation XL To Sync to iTunes

Posted by Jon Westfall in "Android Software" @ 03:30 AM

"Taipei, Nov. 10 (CNA) HTC Corp., the world's No. 4 smartphone maker, launched its 4.7-inch Sensation XL smartphone in Taiwan Thursday and said that two of its Android-powered products already support music synchronization with rival Apple Inc.'s iTunes software."

Well, I'm not sure Apple is happy about this, but at least one Android device has support baked into it for iTunes - the Sensation XL. Not a bad trick, wonder if it will trickle out to the rest of us!

What's Your Digital Convenience Price Threshold?

Posted by Jason Dunn in "Digital Home Talk" @ 08:00 AM

In the tug of war between atoms and bits, how much does it take to sway you one way or another? Digital download or buying DVDs - which way do you roll? I bought the first episode of "Breaking Bad" on iTunes a few weeks ago, watched it yesterday, and enjoyed it quite a bit. Since I don't currently have an active Zip.ca account (it's a DVD rental service) I'd be looking at buying Breaking Bad season one. How do the numbers work out? Read more...

Music WithMe: Get your iTunes On Your Android Without The Hassle Or The Cost

Posted by Jason Lee in "Android Software" @ 02:30 AM

http://androinica.com/2011/03/music...tunes-for-free/

"People who need to sync iTunes and Android now have a free option in a relaunched Android app. We previously wrote about a great Android app that wirelessly transfers music from your Mac/PC, but many scoffed at its $14.99 price."

For those who must continue to use iTunes on their computer and don't want to mess with yet another player like doubleTwist to sync your tunes to your Android device may now breath a collective sigh of relief. The makers of Music WithMe have reevaluated their business model and re-released Music WithMe as a free app on the Android Market. Like doubleTwist and Winamp, Music WithMe can sync your tunes wirelessly to your device however, they have gone one step further and allow you to sync over WiFi or 3G even when you are away from home. Seems like a pretty useful little app for you iTunes junkies out there.
